Eight weeks ago OraFi was an idea. Today it is a working native iOS app in beta testing — and you can try it right now for free.

OraFi is being built for people in their late 20s to early 40s who have money saved but no clear picture of where they stand or what to do next. No budgeting. No backward-looking expense tracking. Just a clear financial picture, a path to your goals, and investment options explained in plain English. Built by a CFA Charterholder with no conflicts and no commissions.

Three Tabs. One Complete Financial Picture.

OraFi is built around three screens that work together. Here is what each one does.

Picture — Where You Actually Stand

The Picture screen shows your real net worth calculated from your accounts, how you compare to peers your age based on Federal Reserve Survey of Consumer Finances 2022 data, and a forward-looking projection of where you will be at retirement based on your current balance and contribution rate.

Most personal finance apps show you what happened to your money last month. OraFi shows you where you are going. The peer benchmark in particular is something most apps do not do — seeing that you are ahead of 68% of Americans your age with context from actual Fed data is more motivating than a pie chart of your spending.

Path — Every Dollar With a Purpose

The Path screen is built around goals-based investing — the idea that every dollar should be matched to its specific purpose and timeline. Add your real financial goals, set target amounts and dates, link your accounts to each goal, and watch your progress update automatically.

A retirement goal with a 30 year horizon should be invested completely differently from a home down payment goal with a 3 year horizon. OraFi makes that distinction concrete rather than abstract. Your progress bar reflects your actual linked account balances, not a number you typed in once and forgot.

Options — Investment Guidance That Knows Your Goals

The Options screen surfaces personalized investment guidance based on your actual goals and timelines. It is not generic advice — it is guidance that knows you have a retirement goal 33 years out and a down payment goal 3 years out, and explains which investment options are appropriate for each.

Every fund is explained in plain English with expense ratios, historical returns, and plain language descriptions of what it is and who it is for. No jargon. No upsell. Just information.

What Is Coming Next

OraFi is in active development. Here is what is being built:

On The Roadmap
Bank account connectivity through Plaid — real-time balance updates without manual entry
Portfolio scoring — how your investment allocation compares to peers your age
Goal milestone alerts — notifications when you hit 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100% of each goal
Monthly net worth snapshots — track your progress over time automatically
Home purchase planning tool — target price, down payment, monthly savings needed
